Selma St Renovation

Towering live oaks holding hands with decades old branches and further connected by twinkle lights spanning the cobblestone drives, Selma Street sits in a historic neighborhood deep in the south. Kris and Mike purchased a 1909 house that had been renovated in the 80s, but not well. The overall goal of the project was to create living spaces that better fit their family while revealing and highlighting the historic details original to the home.

Kris is an interior designer who loves to find unique lighting fixtures and marry old and new textures and materials. The 1980s renovation was completely gutted, rerouting spaces on the second floor for a more useable Primary Suite and Laundry Room and was opened completely on the first floor, giving way to custom steel doors that open out to the backyard.
