Hampton

Kristen and Steve have two kids, two dogs, two cats and big plans for parties, gatherings, fundraisers, house concerts, dinners and more in their new house. Universal design principles play a major role in the layout of the house which allows for ultimate flexibility and welcoming spaces for all.

The house sits back from its quiet street, just as the neighboring houses do, and a large wooded back yard at the bottom of the sloped site is the focus of the north side of the house, which is almost entirely glass. One large open space with a roof sweeping up towards the sky in two directions is a distinctive feature of the house that lets light in and views out.
