Hidden Valley Retreat

Jonathan bought a ten acre, almost completely wooded lot in a preserve at the end of a gravel road, and wanted to put a stealth, black house right in the middle of it with the kitchen/living/dining spaces opening up on both side of the site – one side with a view of pure trees, and the other with a view through trees, across a creek and to an open meadow that turns gold in the afternoon sun.

Just as construction began by contractor Bob Aiello, Jonathan fell in love with Lea, who thankfully loved the house and joined the team in just enough time to suggest amendments to the design that have made the house even better and just right for them, three children and a small fluffy white dog, Clifford.

The house will be surrounded by a lush landscape and pool designed by Gregg Bleam Landscape Architecture and is scheduled to be complete in spring 2023. Jeff Dopko is fabricating and installing the millwork.
